Angstrem Ltd. was organized in 1992 by three members of the metrology research institute when the profile department collapsed. The main specialization – laser spectrum detectors.
Since there was no demand for such devices in Russia at that time, it was decided to export them. Working partnership with foreign companies has helped to solve many problems that concern an international market entry. It has also enhanced the production quality.

The company produces laser spectrum detectors. The narrow specialization has allowed to research profoundly, develop, and produce the laser emission wave-length-meter. The devices are used in fundamental physical research.

During approximately 10 years four generations of the detectors were developed and competitive parameters were achieved. It allows to solve new problems that concern laser power setting control. Now the devices could work in a wide spectral range with the high speed of measurement and the best sensibilities presented in the market. Various options of the device are continuously expanding, winning new market segments.

Today it is unlikely to find a laser laboratory that doesn’t have our devices. The permanent connection with customers makes us well informed about all modern demands, and we try to develop new innovations efficiently. It is difficult to overestimate our foreign colleagues that have contributed greatly to the promotion and development of new devices. Such an international team has a great creative potential and is able to solve various difficult problems.
