Governmental science foundation Novosibirsk region fund of science and high education support was established in 1996 by Novosibirsk administration.

The main goals are to assist scientific and technical regional policy, to support scientifically-applied developments and innovation projects that realized in the interests of the region.

The centre was organized to assist innovation scientific and technical policy of the Siberian branch of RAS.

The main goals of the centre are:

• science-organizational accompaniment of the object-oriented research and developments that concern science and technical production with high innovation potential;
• innovation activity organization;
• scientific and technical, legal, patent, financial, and marketing assistance for the high-technology production enterprises.

«SibAcademSoft» is a nonprofit partnership that assists information technology development in Siberia. Main activity directions are:

• to form and strengthen the image of Novosibirsk, Siberian region, and Russia as an IT-industry centre on a global scale, to assist the development of member-companies and their promotion in Russian and world markets;
• to change social-economical, political environment that facilitates Siberian IT-industry development. In particular, welfare services for companies programmers (to cease brain drain) and social projects support;
• to train qualified stuff for Siberian and Russian IT-companies;
• to assist the development and realization of the Siberian region potential.
