Technology transfer centre of the Siberian branch of Russian academy of science was organized to assist innovation scientific-technical policy of the SB of RAS. The Centre works under the scientifically-methodical direction of Presidium of the SB of RAS. It cooperates with scientifically-research organizations of the SB of RAS, with technology transfer centers in other regions of Russia, and with organizations that deal with innovation and innovation investment both in Russia and abroad.

Main tasks of the Centre: scientific-organizational accompaniment of research and development of scientific-technical production that has a high innovation potential; innovation activity organization from the development search to small-lot production; assistance in selling the hi-tech production at foreign and home markets; scientific-technical, legal, patent, financial, and marketing assistance for hi-tech production enterprises.

In August 2005 a branch of Technololgy transfer centre was opened in Tomsk scientific centre of the SB of RAS.
