Japanese Airline Amakusa implements IBS’ solution
Technopark based IBS Software Services, a leading IT solutions provider to the travel,transportation & logistics industry, has implemented its airline passenger reservation system, iFly Res, at the Japanese regional airline Amakusa. With this go live, the airline has started using iFly Res for its integrated reservations, ticketing, and departure control operations. The successful cut over of the solution, including the Internet and Mobile Booking Engine, was achieved within a record period of four months

Nurturing the innovation reef
In the early 1990s, a seasoned executive shared a metaphor that has stayed with me ever since: he said that innovation is like a coral reef. Marine biologists don’t fully understand what causes reefs to form, he said, but we do know that human actions can nurture or harm the process. The same is true for innovation—a natural, chaotic, unpredictable process that is hard, perhaps even impossible, for well-meaning outsiders to foster.
